ADDITION OF WARD 14 AND CHANGES TO DEMARCATION OF EXISTING WARDS

In light of the upcoming elections, Overstrand Municipality would like to draw voters’ attention to the fact that the demarcation of the following wards has changed.

These changes and the addition of Ward 14 will have a bearing on nominations for and the election of ward committees as outlined.

Ward 1: Formerly included Franskraal and Masakhane (now includes Stanford and Thembelihle)
Ward 2: Formerly included Gansbaai, De Kelders, Kleinbaai and Blompark (now includes Gansbaai North-East and Masakhane)
Ward 9: Formerly included Kleinmond, Mountain View and Palmiet (now includes Kleinmond, Mountain View, Beverly Hills, Extension 6 and Palmiet)

Ward 11: Formerly included Stanford, Baardskeerdersbos, Pearly Beach, Viljoenshof, Withoogte and Buffeljachtsbaai (now includes Baardskeerdersbos, Eluxolweni, Pearly Beach, Buffeljachtsbaai and Franskraal)
Ward 14: Furthermore, a new ward (Ward 14) has been added. This ward has been demarcated to include Blompark, De Kelders, Gansbaai South-West and Van Dyksbaai.

Overstrand’s newly demarcated wards are as follows:

Ward 1: Stanford, Thembelihle
Ward 2: Gansbaai North-East, Masakhane
Ward 3: Hermanus, Voëlklip and a portion of Westcliff (properties east of De Goede Street ie Oncology Unit)
Ward 4: Mount Pleasant, Hemel-en-Aarde Valley and a portion Westcliff (properties west of De Goede St ie Huis Lettie Theron)
Ward 5: Zwelihle
Ward 6: Zwelihle
Ward 7: Sandbaai
Ward 8: Fisherhaven, Hawston
Ward 9: Kleinmond, Mountain View, Palmiet, Beverly Hills, Extension 6
Ward 10: Pringle Bay, Rooi-Els, Mooi-Uitsig, Betty’s Bay, Overhills, Proteadorp,
Ward 11: Baardskeerdersbos, Eluxolweni, Pearly Beach, Buffeljachtsbaai, Franskraal
Ward 12: Zwelihle
Ward 13: Onrus, Vermont
Ward 14: Blompark, De Kelders, Gansbaai South-West, Van Dyksbaai
