Residents have until 4 September 2023 to submit their comments on the Overstrand Municipality’s draft keeping of Dogs and Cats by-law.

Currently a maximum of two dogs and three cats are allowed to be kept on any erf or premises without the prior consent of the Municipality.

Some of the improvements entail that dog owners can allow their dogs to be off leash in specifically demarcated spaces in the Overstrand Municipal area.

Comments can be submitted via email to enquiries@overstrand.gov.za for the attention of the Municipal Manager.
