Renew vehicle licence
Renewal of vehicle licence disc can be done via EFT payment.
It is important that the correct banking details are entered when making EFT payments in order to ensure a speedy transaction.
Please, do not pay a random amount into the bank account. An incorrect amount will need to be investigated and will cause further delays.
Motorists can contact 028 313 8136/8031 (Hermanus), 028 384 8300/8339 (Gansbaai) or 028 271 8400/8452 (Kleinmond) to ascertain the correct amount due before making an EFT payment; or phone the Overstrand switchboard for traffic services on 028 313 1044.
- Do not use ‘ouma se karretjie’ or ‘kerneels’ as reference
- Always use your car licence number as reference number e.g CEM XXXX
Licence disks made via EFT can be collected at the relevant licensing and registration offices. Proof of payment is required when collecting the licence disc.
- Allow at least 3- 5 working days for this or phone to ask if the disk is ready for collection
Avoid queues and save time by informing the client service official at the door of the licensing office that you are there to collect your license disk that you have paid for via EFT. Hand over the proof of payment and they will go inside the office to collect the disk on your behalf.
If the disc is to be collected by persons other than the owner, a letter of authorisation stating the registration number and the authorisation of the person doing the transaction (the person’s full names) as well as a certified copy of your ID and the ID of the person doing the collection.
