Overstrand Municipality has appointed three different service providers for water meter and electricity reading services under a three-year contract ending on 30 June 2027.
For identification purposes, the meter readers will be carrying an identification card and will be wearing reflective jackets or a brown uniform.
Self-meter readings are welcome and property owners can continue to submit own meter readings monthly. Self-meter readings can be emailed to enquiries@overstrand.gov.za along with account number, account holder’s name, contact details, and date of reading)
The service providers will work in the following areas:
100 Percent Accurate (Pty) Ltd:
Baardskeerdersbos, Blompark, Buffelsjag, Franskraal, Gansbaai Industrial, Masakhane, Pearly Beach, Bulk Meters will use the same meter readers as before, while Gansbaai and Kleinbaai will have new meter readers.
Mbadeni Construction (Pty) Ltd:
Birkenhead, De Kelders, Mooisig, Mount Pleasant, Zwelihle, Betty’s Bay, Hangklip Estate, Kleinmond, Extension 6, Overhills, Pringle Bay, Proteadorp, Rooiels and Stanford will use new meter readers.
Wapipa Construction (Pty) Ltd:
Fisherhaven, Hawston, Onrus, Sandbaai, Vermont will retain its current meter readers.
Municipal meter readers:
Hermanus Industrial, Westcliff, Northcliff, Eastcliff, Hermanus Heights and Voëlklip.
