To participate in the auction, members of the public must provide the following information and documentation:
On-site Auction: Bidders must complete and sign a bidder’s card, agreeing to the Terms & Conditions of the auction and acknowledging that they have read and understood the Rules of Auction.
Online Auction: Bidders must register online for the specific auction by completing and submitting the registration form. By ticking the applicable boxes, they agree to the Terms & Conditions of the auction and confirm that they have read and understood the Rules of Auction. A registration fee of R20,000.00, which is a refundable deposit, must be paid via EFT to Claremart Auctioneers (Pty) Ltd.
The documentation required for registering on behalf of a person/entity are as follows:
For Individuals:
- Copy of the bidder’s ID (and the ID of the bidder’s spouse if married in community of property)
- Proof of address (not older than 3 months)
- Letter of authority from spouse (if married in community of property)
- Tax Clearance Certificate for both the bidder and spouse (if married in community of property)
For Companies:
- Company registration documents
- A resolution signed by all shareholders authorising the bidder
- Copies of the IDs of all shareholders/directors
- Proof of the company address (not older than 3 months)

For Trusts:
- Trust registration documents
- Resolutions signed by all trustees authorising the bidder
- Copies of the IDs of all trustees

For Non-Profit Organisations:
- A valid certificate of registration as a non-profit organisation/welfare organisation (NPO Certificate).
- Section 21 company registration documents.
- A resolution signed by all directors/office bearers authorising the bidder to submit a bid.
- Copies of the IDs of directors/office bearers.
- Proof of the organisation’s address (not older than 3 months).
- The organisation’s Tax Clearance Certificate or Public Benefit Organisation certificate (PBO Certificate).
Please note:
- All resolutions must be completed correctly; otherwise, they will not be accepted. The resolution must authorise the bidder to bid on behalf of the entity and to sign any and all documentation required for the transfer.
- No nominations will be accepted; the bidder’s card will reflect the name under which the property will be registered if the bid is successful.
