This year on Mandela Day, (18 July 2019), residents of Blompark, Masakhane and Gansbaai have been invited to put out unwanted items on the sidewalks that are too big to get rid of for a normal household waste collection.
The Gansbaai Administration’s operational team collected mostly old furniture, carpets and used planks from the pavements.
The clean-up campaign did not just stop there – volunteers and other officials picked up litter over the weekend on the beach as well as some open spaces in order to create a safer and cleaner environment for residents. Thank you.
