Overstrand Municipality has installed just more than 60 new streetlights across the Hermanus CBD.
The new 32-watts LED luminaries have replaced the old 70-watts high pressure sodium streetlights. The new LEDs are about 50% more efficient than the previous high-pressure sodium lights.
The change is part of the Municipality’s implementation of energy-saving projects.
