Onrus Caravan Park has been voted as the number two top camping site by Die Burger annual readers’ choice competition.

Readers were asked to vote for their favourite companies in 95 different categories. Hartenbos ATKV was the winner in the camping category with Yzerfontein Karavaanpark in the third place.

The Onrus Caravan Park team would like to thank all of the regular campers who voted for them. “We feel honoured to be in such great company,” they said. The team extended their congratulations to fellow caravan parks in the Western Cape.

The Onrus Caravan Park is uniquely situated on the coast, with only a cliff path between campers and the ocean.

The level, grassed stands are protected from the sea breezes by milk wood trees. All stands have braai facilities (no need to bring a grid!) and most stands have electricity. The ablution blocks are clean, have hot water and are disabled-friendly.

Davies Tidal Pool is right beside the campsite and is a great spot for swimming as the natural pool has a level bottom and there are no waves that break into the pool. The Onrus beach and lagoon is only 10 minutes’ walk from the campsite.
