Bags filled with litter were prevented from entering the sea at the Onrus Estuary thanks to volunteers who conducted a clean-up after heavy rains.

Most rivers such as Onrust river, came down strong and transported large volumes of plastic bottles, containers and packaging downstream and onto the beaches.

We are applauding all who are rolling up their sleeves and working together to collect and remove litter.
