Overstrand is expecting many visitors for the coming long weekend and has a full calendar of events that are tailor-made for family entertainment.  “With 49 unique events as well as weekly markets and the Saturday ParkRuns “I am sure there is an event for every person and every interest” said Overstrand Municipality’s Executive Mayor Dr. Annelie Rabie.

The weekend theme seems to be Easter egg hunts, bazaars and a dash of fynbos.  Franskraal is putting on a special celebration with the Franskraal Carnival.  This is a weekend event held at Panorama Wedding Venue and is set to offer activities for young and old.  Rides for the juniors, food stalls, Easter egg hunt and wait for it… a lang-arm dance on Saturday night. Pearly Beach and Baardskeerderbos will host their epic country hospitality bazaars.

Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and Fernkloof Nature Reserve will offer a variety of indigenous fynbos for sale to make sure avid gardeners can work off the sweet temptations of the Easter egg hunts that will be taking place at many venues in the region. Harold Porter made sure to line up the activities and offers a night run, and art exhibition with the excitement of eggs hidden in their beautiful autumn garden.
