The business community can now link directly to Overstrand Municipality, through its Overstrand Citizen App, to request services or report problems. This includes the options building control, rezoning and subdivision, overgrown erven and plots, electricity, refuse, sewerage, water and law enforcement, to name a few.
The functionality to log a service request remains the same as for individuals, but by the user adding ‘B:’ to the front of the service request description when logging the request, the Municipality will be able to manage and report separately on the business service requests.
As businesses often don’t know how to report their grievances or concerns when it comes to municipal issues, the Collab Citizen app will hopefully make their reporting easier in a timely and cost-effective way in order for them to thrive and help grow the economy. The amount of red tape and bureaucracy faced by business when dealing with government is considered a key constraint to economic development.
The mobile application is fully functional for Android and iOs devices. To download the Collab Citizen App, go to your phone’s app store (Google Play Store, iOs Ap Store or Huawei App Gallery) and search for the Collab Citizen App.
