Overstrand Municipality’s Finance Department is being flooded with calls from concerned residents regarding their pensioners’ rebate applications not reflecting on the latest municipal account.

Applications are being processed and will be completed by 30 September which is the due date for rebate applications. Once successfully approved, the rebates will be applicable with effect from July 2023.

All unsuccessful applicants will be informed of the outcome in due course but no later than 31 October 2023.

Telephonic enquiries regarding applications should only be made from 1 October 2023.
