Voter registration will take place on 18 and 19 September

The Independent Electoral Commission says it’s an opportunity for new voters to register and for existing voters to update their details.

The final date for elections is still under consideration by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. The municipal election is planned to take place between 27 October and 1 November 2021.

Remember, you must be registered to vote where you live – even already registered voters can use the voter portal to check and update their voters’ roll addresses.

Contact your ward councillor for assistance regarding special votes.

To register online, go to elections.org.za
